Aims and Objective of Research and Development Department

1. Procure and maintain relevant Data of Commerce, Trade and Economic Developments.
2. Prepare reports, analytical studies and recommendations.
3. Formulate proposals and suggestions to submit Govt, and other institutions on various issues and problems of business community.
4. Act as advisory cell for the management and members as and where required.

Present functions of Research and Development Department.

1. R&D is responsible to conduct all types of analytical studies and reports. It carries out studies indicating latest trends and brings out vital information about countries having trade relations with Pakistan.
2. R&D is maintain and trying to keep up-to-date, data of Commerce, Banking, Trade and Economic Developments of Pakistan economy. Data is being utilized internally as well as externally.
3. It provides the basis for the discussion of RCCI Management with foreign dignitaries and Govt, officials.
4. It is maintaining and keeping up-date record of Rules and regulations of Govt, covering various aspects of the commercial and industrial activities.
5. R&D undertakes advisory role for the management and members as and when required.
6. It formulates points/agenda items for the discussion in the meetings, inside and outside the chamber.
7. It is responsible for the documentation of the whole system of Chamber. It documented the whole system and got successfully ISO 9002 Certificate on September 2001.
8. Quality management representative(QMR)for ISO9002 Certificate of the Chamber is also from R&D Dept. QMR looks after the whole system & point out deficiencies and suggest to take corrective and preventive actions.
9. R&D looks after the activities and out comes of the Standing committees of RCCI. It prepares and issue minutes of all Standing committees meetings. It also provides agenda and other supporting material for the discussion in the meetings as and when required.
